Father’s Day, Tracking Growth, and Building Ownership Through Empowerment

Good afternoon and Happy Father’s Day to every dad out there.

It’s Sunday, June 15, 2025—a day filled with gratitude, reflection, and a reminder of what truly matters. Being a father is one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received. Watching my kids grow, supporting them, providing for them, and just being present—it’s a role that fills me with joy, purpose, and pride.

As I reflect on this Father’s Day, I’m reminded of the parallels between parenting and building a business. Both require patience, intentionality, and a long-term view of success. Both are worth the investment.

Owning the Content Discipline (Even When It Slips)

Alright—confession time. I’ve been slacking a bit on my content output. Life happens. I get it. But consistency is key, and I’m recommitting today. These journal entries are part of my rhythm, and sharing them keeps me accountable.

My goal is to build a transparent, trackable, and inspiring journey—one where you, the reader, can follow along and see real-time progress, pivots, and growth. That starts with honest updates, even when I’m behind.

Sunday Scoreboard: Gamifying Life One Week at a Time

Every Sunday, I update what I call my “life stats.” Think of it as leveling up in a video game. I measure where I’m at personally, professionally, and financially, and I publish the scoreboard in my blog and email updates.

It’s not about bragging. It’s about documentation, discipline, and data. Tracking creates clarity. Clarity leads to momentum.

The Business Model (for Now): Clarifying the Value Ladder

Here’s the current value ladder I’m building (though it’s likely getting an upgrade soon):

  1. Free newsletter subscription – Foundational entry point

  2. Consulting & cold email management – Evolving this to personal brand management, because that better reflects the impact

  3. Top 5 Sponsors – Brands or individuals that support the blog financially

  4. The Employee Empowerment Initiative – The flagship offering

The Employee Empowerment Initiative is the core. It’s the heart of the model and the most scalable piece. When people subscribe to it, they’re not just buying access—they’re earning ownership.

The Ownership Model: Empowerment That Grows Over Time

Here’s how it works:
When you subscribe to the Employee Empowerment Initiative via JustinDCCDeans.com, you’re granted 10 shares per year. And it’s cumulative:

  • Year 1 = 10 shares

  • Year 2 = 20 shares

  • Year 3 = 30 shares

  • And so on...

This model rewards long-term commitment. The longer you believe in the mission and stay involved, the more value you build. It’s equity for the everyday contributor—ownership for those who believe early.

Personal Scoreboard (Financial Snapshot)

Here’s where I’m at today:

  • Business performance: $10K in revenue so far this year with $6K in net profit

That’s with minimal overhead and no personal salary withdrawn yet. The margins are solid, but we’re just getting started.

Product Focus: From Ornaments to Ownership Manuals

Two current product initiatives I’m building:

  • Annual Christmas Ornament – A small but symbolic gift, possibly physical or digital

  • Owner’s Manual – What I’m calling the “Zero to Hero Class B Retirement Program”

The Owner’s Manual is key. It guides subscribers through the journey of involvement, ownership, and impact as part of the Employee Empowerment Initiative. It’s about creating a structure for scalable contribution—and showing that this isn’t just a side hustle. It’s a long-term play.

Final Thoughts: Being a Father, Being a Founder

Today is Father’s Day, and it reminded me that the most valuable investments are in people—our kids, our communities, our teams. My blog, my business, and this initiative aren’t just about content or cashflow. They’re about ownership, empowerment, and building a legacy worth passing on.

Whether you’re a dad, a builder, a dreamer, or all three—track your progress. Build in public. Reward commitment. And always, always keep leveling up.
